
Security Adviser Meets US Officials, Discusses Rohingya Crisis and Tariff Issues

Washington, DC — Bangladesh National Security Adviser Dr. Khalilur Rahman held a meeting on Wednesday with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau at the State Department, where they discussed key bilateral and regional issues.
According to a statement from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the discussions covered the ongoing Rohingya crisis, tariff negotiations between Bangladesh and the United States, regional developments in South Asia, and Bangladesh’s democratic transition.
Deputy Secretary Landau praised the leadership of Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, highlighting the significance of his role during a pivotal moment in Bangladesh’s political landscape. He also reaffirmed the United States' continued support for Bangladesh.
