The Arakan Army has reportedly ordered the residents of Kya Gong Taung village tract in northern Maungdaw Township to leave their homes within three days, according to local residents.

Kya Gong Taung village tract is home to 10 households, with a total population of 54 people.

Local sources say that on 29 May 2026, an AA battalion based in Ngar Khu Ya village summoned village administrators and instructed that all residents of Kya Gong Taung must vacate the area within three days and relocate to destinations of their choice.

The AA reportedly warned that action would be taken against anyone remaining in the village after the deadline.

Rohingya residents said the order has left families anxious and uncertain about their futures, with many unsure where they could relocate.
