Military Junta Airstrike in Buthidaung Injures Several Rohingya

The military junta carried out an airstrike in Buthidaung Township, Rakhine State, at around 10:30 a.m., according to multiple local sources.


A resident told Arakan Now that several Rohingya civilians were injured in the attack, including one child who was seriously wounded and lost a leg. Others also sustained injuries, although the full extent of the casualties has not yet been confirmed.


The seriously injured child was identified as Sawdula Amin, the son of Mohamed Basir from Wa Shi La village in Buthidaung Township.


Residents said the airstrike shook much of Buthidaung Township and left people fearing for their safety.
