UNHCR: First Phase Programme Limited to Immigration Detention Centres

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) said it has been informed that the first phase of the government’s Dokumen Pendaftaran Pelarian (DPP) programme will focus on registering individuals currently held in immigration detention centres.
UNHCR also warned that anyone claiming to represent the government in registering refugees under the DPP programme outside of detention facilities is not authorised.
