The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) on 10 February 2026 issued a correction to its sanctions list under the Myanmar (Sanctions) Regulations 2021, confirming that Sky One Construction Company Ltd remains subject to sanctions.
According to the undated notice, the company (Unique ID: MYA0052) is subject to an asset freeze and a director disqualification sanctions. The director disqualification measure was imposed on 9 April 2025.
In its statement of reason, the UK government said the Myanmar security Forces have a documented record of serious human rights violations, including during the 2017 clearance operation in Rakhine State, which forced more than 740,000 Rohingya to flee to Bangladesh.
The UK stated that Sky One Construction Company Ltd contributed funds to the Myanmar Security Forces in 2017 through fundraising events related to the Rakhine clearance operations. The government said the company therefore made funds and economic resources available directly or indirectly to the security forces.
The Latest notice describes the changes as an administrative correction. The Sanctions remain in place.
