Turkey Reaffirm Support for Rohingya Repatriation

Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador A. Berris Ekinci has reaffirmed Turkey’s continued support for the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and emphasised Ankara’s commitment to ensuring their safe and voluntary repatriation to Myanmar.

Ekinci made the remarks during a meeting with Md Touhid Hassain, foreign Affairs Adviser to the Government of Bangladesh, in Dhaka on 7 October, according to an official press release. 

She assured that Turkey would continue provide humanitarian assistance to the displaced Rohingya population and advocate for their rights in international forums.

Turkey has been actively engaged in supporting the Rohingya since 2017 crisis, delivering aid through government agencies and humanitarian organisations to the camps in Cox’s bazar.
