Nurul Afsar, son of Zafar Alam, an 18-year-old tomtom driver and resident of Camp 1 East (RC), Block G-17, was found murdered near the Ghumdum area.

According to Younus Arman, a resident of the camp, Nurul had been tortured and killed with a knife, indicating a violent and deliberate attack. “He was a good boy, always helping his family. It’s shocking to see such violence happen to someone so young,” Yunus said.

The victim's mother, Hazara Khatun, said: “Our son was all we had. He worked hard every day to help us survive, and now he is gone.” His father, Zafar Alam, appealed to authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice: “We want the police to act swiftly. Whoever did this must be held accountable.”

Younus further added that authorities have launched an investigation, but no suspects have been identified. Local residents remain anxious, fearing further attacks in the area.
