Rakhine State Chief Minister U Thant Lwin met with Rohingya religious leaders in Sittwe Township on September 20 to discuss community welfare and development. The meeting took place at the administrative office in Mansi Village.

During the discussion, the Chief Minister urged leaders to guide residents, support children’s education, promote healthcare, and maintain cleanliness in villages and IDP camps. He also highlighted the importance of fire safety in religious schools during the dry season.

Religious leaders were invited to raise any challenges or needs from their communities with the government. Officials said the state administration is working to improve education, healthcare, roads, and security, and explored ways to strengthen cooperation with local communities.
