British actress Lena Headey shared an Eid message highlighting global humanitarian crises, including the plight of the Rohingya people.

In a social media post, she extended Eid greetings while calling for freedom and justice for several affected communities worldwide. Among them, she specifically mentioned the Rohingya, bringing renewed visibility to one of the world’s most persecuted populations.

The message, shared with a wide international audience, emphasized the importance of remembering vulnerable communities during moments of celebration.

The Rohingya, a predominantly Muslim minority from Myanmar, have faced decades of systemic discrimination, statelessness, and displacement. Hundreds of thousands remain in refugee camps in Bangladesh, while conditions in their place of origin, Rakhine State, remain unstable.

Lena Headey is a British actress best known for her role as Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones. She has received multiple award nominations, including Emmy and Saturn Awards, for her performances. Beyond acting, she is active in humanitarian causes and often uses her platform to raise awareness on global issues.
