Arakan Now — July 20, 2025 — A 13-member delegation of the newly formed Arakan Rohingya National Council (ARNC) visited the Rohingya refugee camps on Sunday to meet with local members and community leaders.
The delegation, made up of ARNC representatives from several countries, met with Rohingya activists, religious leaders, teachers, and youth at the camps. The visit aimed to strengthen coordination and hear the concerns of the community.

This marks the first official visit of ARNC members to the camps following the council’s formation on July 13. The ARNC says it seeks to act as a unified voice for the Rohingya people at the international level.

ARNC members in the camps also took part in the discussions, which focused on representation, rights, and the way forward for the Rohingya people in Myanmar and in exile.
More details of the meeting are expected to be shared by the council in the coming days, ARNC stated.
