The Arakan Army (AA) has reportedly abducted three Rohingya men—Saifullah, Mv Abdu Gafur, and the son of Ali—from Kin Taung village (ကင်းတောင်), also known as Hanndaung, in Buthidaung Township on 12 November. They were taken after being falsely accused of wrongdoing.

A local villager told Arakan Now that fear has gripped the community as AA members continue to intimidate residents in various ways. "People are terrified. No one feels safe anymore," the villager said.

According to several villagers, AA Sergeant Soe Naing, who heads three Nayma units, has been directly involved in persecuting and abducting Rohingya in the area. Locals say his actions have created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity, leaving families desperate for the safety of their loved ones.
