Veteran Rakhine Politician and Poet U Oo Hla Saw Dies at 72

U Oo Hla Saw, a senior leader of the AA and a well-known Rakhine politician, died of cancer on May 5. He was 72 years old.

U Oo Hla Saw was part of the 1974 student political movement and was known by his pen name Maung Khine Aung. He wrote many poems about politics and revolution. His poems are still read and respected today.

U Oo Hla Saw was known for his strong voice in Rakhine politics and his unique poetry style.
