According to information from Maungdaw Township, the news published by Arakan Bay News (ABN) is completely false. It is an attempt to cover up the brutal actions committed by the Arakan Army (AA).
Arakan Now spoke to people from the village and confirmed what really happened.
In reality, what happened in Oo Sha Kya village is very different from what ABN claimed. The villagers were brutally tortured by the Arakan Army. Men, women, and even children were gathered, tied up, and beaten. They were left under the hot sun for the whole day without food or water.
After finding nothing, the AA suddenly claimed they found ARSA T-Shirts and some other items. This was clearly done to justify their actions.
This is a false and dishonest attempt to blame innocent villagers. There is no real evidence — only a fake story made up to confuse the public.
The people who are truly suffering are being blamed, while those who hurt them act like they are protecting others.
